One more year, Grupo Jorge has received these awards that acknowledge and incentivize excellence of production in Spanish business and pork facilities. The Porc D’Or awards reward the excellent work of the farmers and veterinary surgeons of Cuarte SL, thereby showing how committed they are to quality and innovation.

Cuarte SL’s pig farms, belonging to Grupo Jorge, received in all 5 Porc D’Or awards in the XXIX edition of these prestigious prizes -considered to be the pork sector’s Oscars- which was held in Toledo on the 25th of November.

In particular, our livestock farmers’ professional work received the accolade of two gold medals, one silver, and one bronze, as well as a special prize for research for the Porcisot project, which is dedicated to researching new strategies for nutrition, health and the environment to create a sustainable pork culture for the future.

The Porc D’Or prizes were born in 1994 as an initiative by the IRTA (Institute for Research and Agricultural Food Technology) with the aim of incentivising and acknowledging the job done by Spanish businesses and pork facilities in improving efficiency and quality of production. In this ceremony, Aragon was the region that received the most nominations.

Once again, Grupo Jorge shows its commitment to economic and sustainable development  in the region and continues to work to provide people with food that contributes to the improvement of their lives.
